What do you do?
I joined Investor Profile at the beginning of 2021 as the Practice Manager, having worked in Financial Services pretty much since leaving University in 2007. My job is to support the rest of the team in their day to day roles, but primarily to take on the legwork of the compliance and governance side of the business, leaving Jaskarn more time and capacity to do what he does best – advising clients!
Why do you do it?
Having worked in just about every area within a Financial Planning practice over the years (except for adviser), I have found that I enjoy the regulatory and compliance side the most. Jaskarn and I have known each other for several years, and fate struck at the right time when I was looking for a new role and he was looking for help with the management of the business, in order that he can focus on clients and the service we offer.
I’m excited to have joined Investor Profile as I’ve always preferred a small team that knows each other and all of the clients well, as in my experience this is the recipe for great customer service. Investor Profile in particular appealed to me as we offer affordable financial advice to everyone, which is a real breath of fresh air and so relatable! Jaskarn is also passionate about giving back to the community and trying to protect the environment, and we will be working together to place more emphasis on this in the coming months, both physically ourselves and also through the way in which clients invest.
What do you do outside of work?
Most of my time is taken up with my husband, Luke, and two young boys, Logan and Riley. As you can imagine, my house is generally full of energy, noise, Lego and mud! We try to go out for a walk most days, we like exploring forests and finding new places to play. Once the boys are in bed, Luke and I enjoy playing board games and watching movies.
On the rare occasion I get time to myself, I like going for meals with friends and I enjoy watching rugby with my Dad. I love all types of music, and can often be found dancing round the kitchen while making dinner and singing loudly! I also play softball (kind of a cross between baseball and rounders, with mixed teams), I’m on the committee for the Milton Keynes Softball League, captain of one of the league teams and sometimes play in national tournaments through the summer months.
